Lauren Gibbs has a background in technical writing, website and social media management, graphic design and data analysis and visualization. A proud Mountaineer, she holds bachelor's degrees in geographic information systems and community and regional planning and a master's degree in geography from App State. Gibbs formerly served as the lab supervisor and adjunct instructor in the Department of Geography and Planning, where she managed laboratory technology and equipment, taught a geospatial methods course and oversaw the department's communications and marketing. As Communications Director for the College of Arts and Sciences, Gibbs writes news stories and press releases, leads internal and external communications and helps plan, promote and execute events for the largest college at App State.
